FAQs
Straight answers about Carrierdomains.com — domains, Kickstart packages, email, hosting, refunds, and FMCSA updates.
What is Carrierdomains.com?
We're the digital sister company of Simon's Transportation. We help new and small trucking companies get a real carrier domain with matching company email so brokers see a legitimate operation from the start — no tech department needed.
Do I need a DOT or MC number to buy a package?
No. You can order a domain and email without one. If you already have a USDOT, we also link you to Motus (FMCSA) so you can update your MCS-150 / biennial record and keep your company email current with regulators.
Why do I need my own domain instead of Gmail or Yahoo?
Freight thieves use real MC numbers and free email that looks like yours. A domain you own (like dispatch@yourcompany.com) is much harder to clone overnight and helps brokers trust they're dealing with your company.
What packages do you sell?
Three Kickstart packages: Kickstart — $299 — domain registration, hosting, and three branded email addresses. Kickstart Plus — $699 — everything above plus a one-page website and 12 months of hosting. Kickstart Plus with Logo Design — $999 — everything in Plus, plus a logo contest (about 25–40 options to choose from).
What's included in domain registration?
We help you pick and register a unique company web address. The package covers setup; domain renewal is billed separately later (you own the domain after handoff).
How many emails do I get?
Three branded addresses on your domain (for example dispatch, office, and billing — exact names set during setup).
What's the difference in hosting between packages?
Kickstart includes hosting to keep your presence online. Kickstart Plus and Plus with Logo include 12 months of hosting; after that year, hosting renews separately.
What does the one-page website include?
Built from a short carrier intake: your phone, 3–4 company images, and a contacts page so brokers and customers can reach you. (Kickstart Plus and above.)
What's the order process?
1. Get your domain (search and hold). 2. Pick a package. 3. Pay. 4. Go live — you start using your real company email and domain.
What is the domain hold timer?
When you select a domain, a 30-minute hold countdown appears so it stays reserved while you finish package and checkout. Don't leave the cart sitting too long.
How long does my cart last?
Cart contents expire after 4 hours. If time runs out, you'll need to rebuild the cart before paying.
What happens after I pay?
We start setup: domain registration (when included), email, and any website/logo work in your package. Most clients have professional email working within a few days. You'll hear from us at hello@carrierdomains.com if we need photos, company details, or logo picks.
Who owns the domain after setup?
You do. Once handed off, you maintain renewals and can use the registrar of your choice going forward. We're not focused on locking you into our renewal pricing.
How does billing / renewal work?
You pay the package price at checkout for setup. Domain renewal is separate. Hosting on Plus packages renews after the included 12 months. We'll spell out renewals clearly when your term approaches.
What's the refund policy?
For Kickstart packages that include a domain: refunds requested within 24 hours of purchase have a $49 processing fee (covers work already started, including domain purchase when it's already bought). After 24 hours, refunds are not available. You must agree to this at checkout. Questions: hello@carrierdomains.com.
Do I need tech skills?
No. We keep setup simple so you can keep hauling. If you get stuck, contact us.
Can you help with my MCS-150 / FMCSA update?
Yes — our FMCSA 150 update page walks you through signing into Motus with Login.gov, or downloading the printable MCS-150 PDF if you prefer paper. That's a free guidance page, separate from the Kickstart packages. See /update-fmcsa.
Do you update Motus / my email with FMCSA for me?
We set up your domain and email. Updating Motus with your new company email is done in the Motus portal (we show you how). That pairing — your domain email plus Motus — is what helps brokers see a proper company representative.
How do I contact you?
Email hello@carrierdomains.com or call 623-444-2200 Ext 1. There's also a contact form on the site (including Book Appointment). See /contact.
Is Carrierdomains related to Simon's Transport?
Yes — sister company. Same people who understand brokerage and carrier life; Carrierdomains focuses on the digital side (domain, email, branding online).
Where do I start?
Find your domain (/domain-search) or view packages (/services-prices). Or email / call if you'd rather talk it through first.
